Over the past week I have researched my topics though different means. The first thing I did was google how society and health professionals currently view the sun. They argue that exposure to the sun creates health problems such as skin cancer. However, there is more current research that suggests that the benefits of sun exposure more than outweigh the potential negative effects. Vitamin D synthesis and mental health benefits are the reason for the narrative change into a positive view of the sun. I, myself, am a firm believer that going outside, in the sun, has great personal health benefits. I believe this feeling facilitates humanities appreciation towards the sun and is the reason we see light in such a positive way. In my research, I have discovered that many civilizations have worshiped the three natural sources of light for centuries. The sun, moon, and stars.
